"We had a really fun time at the Alaska lumberjack show. It was neat to see such talented athletes do really cool maneuvers. They were throwing axes, spinning on logs and climbing upwards of 50 feet in competitions against other lumberjacks. They were chopping trees with axes and doing really experienced lumberjack things! Fun family event for anyone and also very good for kids. We also want ax throwing, which was very enjoyable and worth it!"

"What a fun show! I had heard about the show for years but expected just a hokey tourist thing and didn’t really know if I would enjoy myself. Well, we really had a great time. It was an excursion for our ship this past week and they really put on a good showthe trash talking the work the muscles. The mistress of ceremonies everything from beginning to end was fun."

Denise M
"Our family had a great time at this show. These men are incredibly talented and the show was well put together. I do recommend going to an earlier show vs later as traffic in Ketchikan getting here from the ports can be a little thick-abd Ketchikan also has some great shopping for friendly souveniers"

Julz Perell
"This was a very fun experience to watch. Everyone was very friendly, enthusiastic and entertaining. The axe throwing was very fun as we have neverdone that before."

P Murphy
"This was better than expected. Lots of crowd participation and the lumberjacks went into the crowd to pass out autographed photos. Lots of good-hearted jokes. This was very enjoyable and they have a great gift shop too. We would go again if we were in the area. The bleachers are covered and they have heaters above. The lumberjacks take photos with anyone that wants one at the end of the show. Good fun."

"An absolute must-do in Alaska! We attended the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show with family during our cruise, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The show was packed with action, from log rolling to axe throwing, and the skill and athleticism of the lumberjacks were impressive. They kept the energy high with a perfect mix of humor and competition, making it fun and engaging for all ages. The performers did a great job involving the audience and made us feel like part of the show. This is a unique and entertaining way to experience Alaskan culture—definitely recommend adding it to your itinerary!"

Andie G.
"This show was GREAT! Fun to watch AND learn a bit about the history of logging. If you get the opportunity, do the axe 🪓 throw. Steve taught us how to do it and we had a blast! Keep up the great work, guys!"

Mike Chiumento
"Fun. Perfect amount of time and well paced. Covered seating so you don’t have to worry about what the weather will be doing. Would highly recommend especially if you’re looking for a more affordable “excursion” or activity while in Ketchikan."

Courtney C
"It was a really great experience- the guys were very impressive and, whilst scripted, the show definitely had entertainment and comedy value as well as being a display of skill. Lots of audience participation and loud chainsaws etc. Mean this probably isn't for you if you had a heavy night, but otherwise was great fun for kids and adults."

Alistair Mason
"A little bit scripted, but none the less an amazing show especially with the rare and blessed sunny and clear weather we got! In a place that gets 140+in of rain a year,it was a rare treat and made the event that much more special! Each side of the bleachers are different teams, you will be cheering on you're team depending where you sit. There is a small snack shop before entering and also a snack cart below for anything you made need before it starts. If you have any crying babies or screaming children during the event ,please take them out if they start..no one wants to hear that kind of disruption when paying for an event or trying to listen...a simple, kind gesture goes a long way!"

"This excursion was awesome. If you get the chance to go, you should go would definitely do it again."

"Fun family local experience. We greatly enjoyed and definitely recommend. The arena is rather small which makes you feel like you’re really there."

Magdalena Rawecka
"This is a awesome way to spend about 90 minutes in Ketchikan. Although it was raining, the seating is under a roof, and there are heaters if you sit about midway up. The show was very entertaining and humorous. There are a lot of chances for crowd involvement, and there are concessions with some pretty decent options! I recommend this port show if you have a quick stop in town. Them boys worked there butts off, hats off!"

Eddie Moore
"Did this and all you can eat crab. Think medieval times but lumberjack competition. Was fun. The kids we saw were having a blast."

David Moss
"Andrew, Chance, Ethan, Todd and Sweetie Pie Sue did an awesome job!! They had the audience engaged and active from the start, and they did an amazing job demonstrating various lumberjack skills and having tons of fun! 10/10, would go to again!!"

Sarah Rudolph
"We first saw the show sixteen years ago, and our recent visit was even better than we remembered. The family-friendly experience kept my 10-and 13-year olds entertained. The venue is just a short walk from the pier. It is well organized and easy. The show itself offers non-stop information, humor, and competition."

Phillip Vermillion
"Just the right amount of cheesy and amazing talent. I really enjoyed this show, it was worth the money. Arrive 15 min early because seating is first come first served. The athletes are really incredible and the jokes and gags were family friendly."

Sara A

Tammy H

Brad Bonser
"The rumors were true, this show is amazing! The announcer the, lumber jacks the ambiance. Everything was great ."

Jose Mendoza Soto
"This was such a fun show and a great/unique way to spend an hour in Ketchikan! I visited on 6/5/25 and I must say the host (name I have forgotten) was one of the best hosts I have ever seen in any sort of show, game, etc. He was funny and had an exceptional level of enthusiasm and energy for 7:45 in the morning; he was able to maintain that throughout the show and keep the crowded thoroughly pumped up which added to the appeal. The lumberjacks themselves also had great stage presence and it was neat to see them do their work even in the rain. All guests are covered so we got to stay warm and dry; don't fret about going in the pouring rain...these guys are used to this as Ketchikan sees more than 14ft of rain per year!! I recommend to get there early if you want a particular spot - the shows seemingly are almost always sold out. I also purchased good quality souvenirs from their gift shop. I highly recommend!"

Kari Smith
"Great show very fun and interesting. They kept you laughing at there jokes. I would recommend watching them and good for kids…"

Tammy Webb
"I had a blast watching those lumberjacks show off their skills and humor, but Celebrity cruise ship only gave us a tiny taste of Ketchikan, Alaska, docking from 7am to 3pm. I mean, who can really experience the wild beauty of Alaska in just eight hours? Mark and I got sucked into eating all the halibut and browsing cheesy tourist traps - yeah, we're those tourists. Next time, we're driving up from Seattle and doing it right."
