Lumberjack Rob Scheer
"Silver Fox"
Rob is the first man to win the title of IRONJACK World Champion and a 3 time World Champion 90’ Speed Climber. He is a pioneer in the sport and continues to promote the sport. Rob is the founder the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. In his off time, he can be found ranching in Wyoming or on his boat in Florida. At 64 years old, Rob can still hold his own with the 20 year old competitors.
Lumberjack Andrew Okpych
"Slick "
Andrew began timbersports when he joined his collegiate team because he thought girls would like it. He was recruited by fellow Haywood Community College alumni to compete in Ketchikan. In 2022, Andrew was the Mid-Atlantic Overall Champion. The following year, he became the Mid-Atlantic Underhand Champion.
Lumberjack Anthony Dyer
"Wildfire "
Anthony joined the Timbersports team his junior year of college due to his love of forestry and his natural competitive spirit. In 2023, he was the Northeast Spring Meet Champion. During his first year in Ketchikan, he quickly learned the new events he had not competed in before and really enjoys the speed climb and standing block.
Lumberjack Will Randall
"Buck Randy"
Will started his lumberjack career in college on his collegiate team. At the 2015 Cradle of Forestry competition, he placed 1st in underhand, standing block and single buck. Will also placed 1st at the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Competition in underhand, single buck and standing block. He currently oversees the lumberjacks as Jack Boss of the camp.
Lumberjack Cameron Pilgreen
"Pond Hopper "
Cameron started log rolling when he was nine years old. When he got older, he did lumberjack road shows and was also in shows in Hayward and Minocqua, Wisconsin. In 2021, he was a part of the Lumberjack Team Relay World Champions. Cameron was 2022 Boom Running World Champion after competing in Hayward. In 2023, he placed 3rd in the 60-foot speed climbing world championships.
Lumberjack Chance Hart
"“Hitch Hiker”"
Chance finished his first full season as a lumberjack this past summer. He began with us in 2022 as a dock representative and trained in his off time to become an Ironjack. He is not unfamiliar with our water activities though! Prior to working here, he competed in watersports.
Lumberjack Max Lloyd
"Wizard"
Max got his start in Timbersports at Finger Lakes Community College. He started competing in the STIHL series in 2017. He placed 6th at the Stihl United States Rookie Championship in 2022. He continues to compete all throughout the West Coast, where he won the title 2022 American Lumberjack Association Speed Climb Champion. Max spends his offseason falling trees in Washington.
Lumberjack Ethan Villnave
"The Heathen"
Ethan started competing in 2019 with his collegiate timbersports team. He led his team as the president to win the Northeast Championships in 2022 and 2023. He completed his first year with us in 2023 and competed in his first Alaskan Ironjack, where he placed 6th. Ethan is an up and coming all around Ironjack.
Lumberjack Tom Lancaster
"Turbo"
Tom started doing lumberjack shows at the age of 16 during the summer. He has competed in Ketchikan in various years since 2012. His awards include Alaskan Ironjack Champion in 2014, 2022 and 2023. In 2011, he was the Novice Underhand World Champion. He was the 90-foot Speed Climbing World Champion in 2018. Tom was the 2022 Squamish Single Buck Champion. He has been a Stihl Series Competitor since 2021.
Lumberjack Jacob Tuholski
"Hollywood"
Jacob started his career when he joined the Timbersports team at his college and fell in love with the sport. He was recruited out of college after being the fastest speed climber in the Northeast for three years straight. In 2022, he was the Northeast Collegiate Timbersports Champion. He competed at the 2023 Juneau Gold Rush Days, where he set the speed climbing record and was named Bull of the Woods, which is the overall champion.
Lumberjack Ben Whelan
"Bullseye"
Ben started as a lumberjack on the Timbersports team at the University of Minnesota. In 2014, he was the Midwest Collegiate Champion. He was on the Sydney Australia U.S. Team in 2019. Ben became the Axe Throw World Champion in 2023. He currently competes in the Stihl Series and placed 7th at the U.S. Professional Semi Finals this past year.
Show Host Joe Williams
"Lasagna Joe"
Originally from Detroit, MI, Joe has been a respected performer in Ketchikan since he arrived in 2017. Joe began pursuing professional arts at the age of 17, seeing private instruction in various voice performance techniques, singing background for local artists in the Metro Detroit area, and fronting several bands before visiting his uncle in Alaska; where he decided to stay, and start a new life. This is Joe’s third season with The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.
Show Host Patrick Wiabel
"Prospector Pat"
Patrick has been performing for over 18 years from high school throughout his Masters in Acting training and more recently in film. Although most of the year is spent in Alaska hosting the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, he is an adamant world traveler. He has visited 32 countries over the last 8 years. When not working or traveling, he is creating art, gold panning, or sipping his favorite tequila.
Show Host Rachel Jacobucci
"Sweetie Pie Sue"
Rachel has been performing for almost 30 years. She began her professional career as a dancer working for various classical and contemporary ballet companies. She moved into commercial dance at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and quickly gained credit at places such as Busch Gardens, Holland America Line, Tokyo Disney Resort, and even got her head cut off with Rob Lake Magic. She has transitioned into the world of acting in the last several years and cannot be more grateful to be a part of the fun and wondrous world of The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.
